Personality: Appears gruff and aloof to those he doesn’t consider friends. His persona is a front intended to intimidate others, but those who know him better will find him highly intelligent and worldly (having travelled to almost the entire known world during his life), with a dry sense of humour. He his highly honourable, and considers respect to be a valuable commodity, he does not freely give it – his respect must be earned, but he makes damn sure that others know to respect him. He is at war with his animalistic side, although through training, intense psychotherapy and sheer will he’s certainly winning. Loves all things Japanese, and is very protective of young women, especially if he is close to them, although reluctant to form romantic relationships based on the sheer number of women who have died as a result of being involved with him in his past. Had lost his memories of most of his life and had false ones implanted, but has recently regained all of his memories.

Powers: Regenerative healing factor, powerful enough to fully heal any wound, no matter how severe, making him essentially unkillable. Cannot be killed by poison, and most drugs have a greatly reduced effect on him. Heightened senses of sight, smell and hearing, the latter two of which are comparable to that of a canine (though his eyesight is far greater than that of any dog) – he can even track people by scent. Has six retractable, foot-long claws (three on each hand), which, along with the rest of his skeleton, have been artificially bonded with the metal adamantium, making his entire skeleton unbreakable and his claws razor-sharp and able to cut through any known material save adamantium itself. Also has extensive hand-to-hand and weapons combat training, and is especially experienced with close combat weapons, particularly knives and Japanese swords. Trained as a ninja, a samurai, an espionage agent and an infantry soldier, and is highly resistant to mental manipulation.

Weakness: No known physical weaknesses, but can be manipulated by threatening those he cares about. Also has a soft spot for cigars (if that counts as a ‘weakness’).

Brief History: Born in Canada in the late 1880s, his mutant powers manifested as a teenager. Due to traumatic circumstances, he fled from home and worked in a number of mining colonies until World War I, in which he served with the Canadian Military. Spent the years between wars as a traveller and adventurer, and rejoined the military in World War II, wherein he participated in D-Day and trained freedom fighters in Greece. Was a freelance espionage agent between 1945-1970, often working for Canadian and US Intelligence, and spent years in Japan training in martial arts. Was abducted by a secret organisation in the early 70’s and transformed into ‘Weapon X’ as a government super-soldier, where he had the adamantium bonded to him. Escaped and was found by the future leader of Alpha Flight, a Canadian super-hero team. Joined Alpha Flight but eventually left to join the X-Men. Was a member of the anti-terrorist agency SHIELD just prior to coming to Landel’s.

In Landels: Recently regained all of the memories of his past life and believes he may have been placed here by any one of a number of Canadian or US government officials who are currently very concerned about the possibility of his leaking information to the public about the various top-secret missions he conducted on the Intelligence agencies’ behalf.
